Brian Epstein serves as Executive Director of NextTech Ohio, the NWO State Entrepreneurial Services Provider (ESP) Program in collaboration with ProMedica, Mercy, UT and BGSU.

Brian was born and raised in NWO, returning in 1998 from his educational endeavors at Albion College and then Plymouth State College where he started his career in College Administration.

Brian Epstein brings 20+ years of experience in business and philanthropic sectors through senior leadership roles at ProMedica, The Trust Company of Toledo (a local $2 billion plus financial services firm), multiple local non-profit boards as well as Director of sales, consulting and product development of Fi-Tek (an international financial technology firm). He is an expert at building partnerships and leading collaborations through which he has maintained an extensive network of corporate (local and national), non-profit and foundation and minority and women leaders.  Supported by his Master’s degree in Leadership Development and Human Behavior, his skills and experience include in-depth knowledge of organizational lifecycles and structures, process improvement, sales, marketing, product development and commercial validation among others.

NextTech is the newly refreshed regional organization charged with:

• Building a long standing regional ecosystem and network in support of innovation, entrepreneurship and start-ups;
• Identifying ideas (concepts);
• Guiding the ideas in collaboration of the ecosystem network through a formal commercialization process with the goals of new business creation, job growth, investment attraction and tax revenue impact.
