Christy Gustin - Regional Director Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

Christy Gustin is the Director of Regional Services for the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. She has been impacting the lives of girls, providing leadership, and driving the mission of Girl Scouts for nearly 27 years as a professional. Christy’s Girl Scout journey began much earlier. In 1976, she joined her first Brownie Girl Scout troop and began her 36-year journey with Girl Scouts. As a Girl Scout, she developed a love for the outdoors, traveling, photography and service. After college, seeing a need in her community she became a troop leader of not just one, but two Girl Scout troops. One for girls with special needs and another for girls who spoke English as a second language. Christy says, watching the girls discover the world around them and grow in their confidence and courage, inspired her to become a professional Girl Scout. She joined the staff of her local Girl Scout Council in the Chicago area in 1995 and in 1996 she moved to the Toledo area to continue her work with the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. \n\nOutside of Girl Scouts Christy has been a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of NW Ohio, a member of BNI (Business Networking International), a member of the International Association of Women, and a graduate of Leadership Toledo Academy. She is currently a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Society, United Way Women’s Initiative and Westgate Toastmasters Club where she currently serves as President and will be stepping into the role of Area 4 Director for Toastmasters District 28 in July of 2021.
